What is an initial consultation?
The Initial consultation is the start of your journey to meeting your goals. It's a 1 hour session online where we discuss what hypnotherapy is, the process and what it can offer. We'll discuss what you want to achieve, your goals and aspirations and we'll look at if hypnotherapy is the right path for you, and how hypnotherapy can help. I'll give you a powerful explanation of how the brain works so that you can start to take control. No hypnotherapy takes place in this session but you will be given a copy of my relaxation MP3 so that you can start your journey straight away.

Anxiety
Anxiety is a feeling of being worried or nervous about something. Everyone experiences anxiety at times and it's perfectly natural to feel anxious.
But it can become a problem if it affects our daily life or our relationships, if we're worrying about the small things and our anxiety feels overwhelming.
Common symptoms include tiredness, being unable to concentrate, sleep difficulties, headaches and worrying something bad will happen.
Hypnotherapy can help to relieve the symptoms of anxiety, help you deal with the worries, and look at everything in a new way.
Stress

Stress is a natural response to the demands and challenges in life. It triggers our fight or flight response releasing hormones such as Adrenaline and Cortisol. Some stress can be beneficial and helps to motivate us. Too much stress can have a negative effect on our health and our life and can come from many sources such as work, relationships, financial issues or major life events and changes.
Hypnotherapy can help to manage stress by helping and working towards how you want things to be rather than the problem. It helps individuals to relax and develops coping strategies to deal with the stress.
Phobias and Fears

Fear is a natural response to perceived threats or danger. This can be a rational fear such as a fear of heights or fear of public speaking. A fear can vary in how people experience them and for some people, it can affect their daily life. A visit to the dentist or for teenagers taking that GCSE exam can be difficult.
Phobias are more intense and can be an extreme or irrational fear to specific things and situations. People with phobias can go to great lengths to avoid what they fear, which can impact their ability to function daily and it can affect their overall quality of life.
They can experience anxiety, panic attacks, rapid heartbeat and totally avoiding the thing or situation they fear.
Hypnotherapy can be very effective treating phobias and fears by engaging the subconscious mind, reframing those negative thoughts and changing the response to the fear triggers. It can help you conquer your fears and live without giving your fears another thought.
Simple phobias are usually successful using hypnotherapy within 4 sessions. Complex phobias can require more sessions. The Initial Consultation helps us to identify if your phobia is simple or complex.
Stopping smoking and vaping

Hypnotherapy is generally effective in helping to stop smoking or vaping and many people are able to stop in just one session.
Cigarette smoking can cause many health issues such as heart disease and cancer. When you stop smoking, the health benefits start to kick in almost immediately on your health. The risks of vaping to health are starting to become apparent and vapes contain a multitude of chemicals which you would never consume if they were offered to you outside of a vape. You'll also see an improvement in your bank balance!
You'll need to want to stop smoking because you want to stop and not because someone else wants you to stop.
This is a 2 hour session where we use talking therapy and hypnotherapy to guide you into a state of deep relaxation where we work together to visualise positive change without smoking or vaping, help reduce your stress, increasing your willpower to stop and to associate smoking and vaping with something unpleasant.
You also receive a relaxation download which will support you in times of need. It's time to take back control!
Sleep Issues

Hypnotherapy can help to manage and overcome sleep issues. We all experience problems with sleep at some time in our life. But if this carries on for a prolong period, it can become a real problem. It can disrupt your daily routines, your work, your relationships, and your mental and physical health.
